Looking through my photos I have found that the majority of my photos are connected by the environments and subjects that I choose to photograph. For example all of my photos have been shot outside and of things that I find to be beautiful and perfect in nature. Additionaly I find that I prefer to leave my pictures in color instead of reverting them to black and white because I find that the beauty is also in the variety of colors there are in nature. Through this I have developed a sense of style in my photos that reflects that I mostly shoot pictures of a specific subject instead of multiple subjects at once because I like to focus on thing at a time. This has helped me to realize that I tend to shoot pictures of either plants or people because it allows me to focus in on one thing well. In creating a interesting photograph I look for subjects and environments that are colorful and unique.
Artist Statement Semester 2
The photos I took this semester are all connected by the fact that the are all portraits of people. Looking at the photos I think I have started to develop a style that relates a lot to changing the colors of images and taking pictures with bold colors. Also due the fact that all of the pictures are of people I think I am drawn to taking pictures of human subjects because I like to capture the different emotions and personalities people have because they are all unique. I also like toe experiment with different lighting and colors so that I can make my pictures more interesting and express more meaning.
